The other day, we pulled out some DVDs that we thought Jack might enjoy. We were watching Jack Jack Attack from the Incredibles. Jack was loving it and kept saying "baby" as he watched. He started to get a little concerned as the baby started doing strange things, then when the baby burst into flames, Jack went hysterical. He was so upset. I don't know why we didn't anticipate this. Lately, he is very upset if he sees any fighting, yelling, or fires on TV. In a panic, we returned to a scene that showed the cute baby again so that we could reassure Jack that the baby was ok. That is not what made me a bad mom, however. The bad part is, we did it again so we could film his reaction. Seeing his anxiety when he knew what was coming made me regret the decision.
I know, bad mom. I feel horrible already, no need to say anything.

OK, I'm a bad Grammie - I watched this twice!! Amazing how he knows exactly when it's going to happen - he is visibly getting stressed.
You better buy him a treat!
You know, you would think the second time through would have been less traumatic for him...sadly it wasn't. One more thing to feel guilty about...as if I didn't have enough already.
Ohhh...that's some good fodder for the therapist! Mission accomplished -- you have now given your son a good session's worth for his future money :)

It shows that he's sensitive - which is a good thing. It was so sad when he started crying...poor Jack :(
That was funny and sad all at the same time. Poor Jack!
