So, this morning, Jack ran out of our bedroom to follow his dad into the kitchen. He ran face first into the edge of the door.
You'll notice he has quite the bruise and a cut next to his eye. (The long red scratch on his cheek, however, is an old, unrelated injury.)
It's a constant battle to keep this kid alive.

Seriously, I want all his injuries listed before we stay with him - I don't want anyone to accuse us of beating the child!! (Maybe we'll work on personal safety training while you're gone - rule number 1, don't hide in places above floor level!)
My mom always used to say that a mother's primary goal for the first 5 years of her child's life is to just keep them alive.
