Yesterday, one of Jack's friends gave him a flower from his yard. Jack smelled it and I asked him if it smelled good. His reply?
Mmmm...it smells good. It smells like pancakes.
He does this kind of thing a lot. He will sniff perfume and tell me it smells good, like dinner. It is really odd because his description is never something expected.

Does this kid ever say anything that you would expect him to? Do you really even have preset expectations anymore? Would he be your kid if he did?
