Halloween Fun

I love Halloween. It is my second favorite holiday. Last night we carved our pumpkin with Jack. He loves pumpkins. He was very excited, although he didn't want to touch the dirty parts inside.

He did, however, love helping with the design work.

When we were done, he threw his hands up in the air and yelled "TA DA." (He does that a lot these days; he is very proud of his accomplishments.) He spent a long time talking to his new friend.
We took the jack-o-lantern outside, which was fun, until Jack realized we were going to leave it outside. He didn't like that at all, and screamed in desperation. So, we decided to bring the pumpkin inside for the night. Jack still didn't want to leave it to get ready for bed.
We finally convinced him the pumpkin was going to bed too by tucking it in with a cozy dish towel for a blanket. That made it a little easier for Jack to leave him.

Awwwww...he has a pumpkin friend! What's going to happen when pumpkin friend gets old, wrinkly and smelly?

He looks so happy staring at the pumpkin. Halloween is the best.

Evan didn't like leaving ours outside either. He had to check on them 100 times.

I love how enthralled he is with the pumpkin - and holy cow - he's talking so well!
